What Scent Fits Your Personality?

By Sagar Panchal | July 8, 2020

Our sense of smell is closely connected to our emotions and memories, having a dramatic impact on our mood and thoughts. Whether it is the smell of coffee in the morning, the crisp scent of the ocean breeze, or that new cologne we copped, we rely on our sense of smell to guide our mood and sometimes our state of mind.

Different Scents and Memories

Inspired by the memory that’s tied to certain scents, we’ve set out to deliver some of the most uniquely scented products on the market. Koza’s goal is to capture some of the unique fragrances used in global traditions and deliver them into our products.

We’ve broken down a few of the fragrances that have stood out to us and their origin stories. Try to find one that matches your style and try it out.

Sandalwood

Commonly used in religious traditions in India, sandalwood carries a deep woodsy scent profile that has a bit of a sweet, creamy, and smooth undertone. Its got a warm aroma and is a bit on the softer side for someone looking for more of a subtle yet confident aroma.

Orchids

Being one of the most beautiful flowers in the world, their physical versatility transcends to their aromatic diversity. A crisp, refreshing, obviously floral aroma, this fragrance is inspired by the flower that it comes from in Caldas, Colombia. Being a female favorite, orchids provide that refreshing appeal that’ll make you smell twice.

Orchid

Rosemary Chai

This is probably our most unique blend with its strong aroma. Its origins trace back to the rosemary herbs used heavily in Amman, Jordan. Blended with clove, this scent is reminiscent of a pine forest with a hint of mint. Speaking of peaking memories, some even say it smells like the Vicks vaporub your mom swore to cure all illnesses. Either way, it’s been proven to give a  refreshing change from the common day scents.

Lavender

Being heavily used in Kashmir, India, lavender oil has made its way over to the western culture and this scent is soothing. This is simply because its scent is one that’ll knock you out. A relaxing change from your everyday fragrances, lavender oil carries a softer, more floral blend with a unisex appeal.

Lavender

Pumpkin Spice

Christmas vibes. Pumpkin spice will make you feel like you need to warm up some hot chocolate and cozy up next to a fireplace. Inspired by the beloved lattes, this fragrance smells so good you’d want to eat it (don’t eat it). With a warm cinnamon scent mixed with pumpkin, this seasonal fragrance is definitely going to draw some attention.

Oud

This is one of those exotic fragrances that not many people have their hands on or have had the pleasure smelling. Intrigued by the musky blend of amaretto and sweet tonka bean, this fragrance is heavily popular overseas and dates to its usage in Kasmir in the Himalayas. Plenty of designer fragrances such as Tom Ford and Gucci carry this scent because of its captivating appeal.

Oud

Fig

A refreshing take on the fig flower, this fragrance gives you that fresh out of the shower feel. A clean alternative to your everyday scents you smell soaps; our fig carries a citrus-like aroma that smells like you mixed grapefruit and oranges together and then added some moss and cedar. Your standard clean scent, it’ll feel like your face was blessed with a dose of vitamin C.

Floral or Woodsy?

With plenty of more fragrances being rolled out we wanted to see which one would you say fits your personality. You can go along the side of citrusy and refreshing or take a heavier approach with something more woodsy. Either way, you can’t go wrong. Give these fragrances a try to fit your needs as they are loaded in our products: scent rollers (Oud and Orchids), beard wash (Fig), and the rest of the fragrances in our balms and oils

With a variety of fragrances offered, let us know if you prefer more of the citrusy or woodsy type of scent. Drop some scents you’d like to see next in the comments!
